The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
